I was in my yard digging carefully in some bare spots in the grass because it's egg laying season for turtles and I like to mark out which spots have eggs so we don't disturb the nest. So there I was, digging in the dirt, when I saw these tiny tiny things carrying what looked like little white pieces of sand and I knew it had to be ants. Though I have never seen ants this small before. Luckily there were no turtle eggs in that bare spot and we put the small rocks that the ants called home back where we found them and covered them back up with loose dirt.
