Hi,

My name's FuzzyJunior and I'm a new ant keeper (started February of this year). I fell in love with ant keeping after watching videos and documentaries on YouTube and wanted to try it for myself.
Now I have a ton of queens that are in the founding stage and two small colonies. 
I hope to get to know more ant-keepers in the community and learn as much as I can about ants!

Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp.   possibly infertile   :(,  Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!  :yahoo: 

 

Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen

                    

Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii

(x1) Camponotus vicinus ~10 workers, 1 Queen (all black variety)
(x1) Tetramorium immigrans ~100 workers, 1 Queen
(x1) Myrmercocystus mexicanus -1 Queen
(x2) Mymercocystus mimcus -1 Queen
(x1) Mymercocystus testaceus ~45 workers, 1 Queen

It feels so amazing to know so many people here are so welcoming.

For the one who asked about what ants I'm keeping, I currently have an aphaenogaster occidentalis and a pogonomyrmex occidentalis colony. I also have a ton of founding queens but I don't want to spam this thread.

C. Vicinus x3
C. Clarithorax x3
C. Maritimus x3
C. Modoc x2
Pheidole Californica x3 (polygyony) 

and they are all founding!

Hello! I'm glad you got your first colonies so early in the season! Hopefully you enjoy your stay here at formiculture!

 

Are you going to be starting any journals about your colonies? I know it's a bit early to ask, but I love reading them.
