Last week I got a 7 queen colony of veromessor pergandei with lots and lots of brood. When they came in the mail, most of the brood was all over the top and sides of the test tube and it stuck there because it was wet. All of the eclosing pupae are being eaten and thrown in the garbage area. There are only 3 workers that have made it. Do you think they are being eaten because some may be deformed? please help!
Currently Keeping:
Pogonomyrmex Californicus Bicolor & Concolor
Pogonomyrmex Subnitidius
Camponotus Sansabeanus

Yes most likely. My camponotus ate their brood And threw in the trash area because they didn’t have enough heat. But don’t worry they’ll lay more eggs.

I had my Camponotus queens kill nanitics I opened up from their cocoons because the queens were being negligent.
