Hi!Newbie from Singapore here. Two maurader ant queens flew into my place after a storm last night and I am keep to keep them to see if they would lay eggs.I don't have test tubes but I do have clean empty jam jars. Please advice if I could add soil, damp cotton or even food thank u

You don't have to give food until her first workers arrive since Carebara are fully claustral. Try buying test tubes online as they are one of the best for founding, if you really can't get some, I guess you can use a jar, but remember to water the jar once in a while.

Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp. possibly infertile , Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!
Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen
Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii

They apparently need dirt for founding, so put dirt in the jar with her. And they are also supposed to be very sensitive to being checked up upon, so only do it very sparingly.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

This species is also polygynous, so you can put them in the same jar.
