Queen #2(C.pennsylanicus) - Not doing much. Maybe some more larvae, but I think they are still mostly hibernating. I see a forager once in awhile, but not a lot of activity.

Queen #5 (C.chromaiodes) - Very active and growing fast. finally starting to hang out on more than one level of this nest, but a lot of extra space. I think one of the water towers has been designated as the bathroom area. Looks moldy/dirty. I also have an infestation of book lice(Psocodea) that got bad fast. So far they don't seem to mind each other, but it bothers me. I also need to clean the glass.

C.pennsylvanicus - Larvae don't seem to be developing and they are still inactive, but it is still super early in the season. There does seem to be more larvae though.

C.chromaiodes - Growing pretty fast. Starting to not be a fan of vertical nests like this Casita, just because it's hard to get decent photos into the nest and the ants can defecate on the glass. I think there would be less of a chance in they were in a horizontal nest. Not sure if these gals are getting uncomfortable in this nest or just super hungry. There are always a dozen or so hanging out in the outworld. Not even moving around like they are foraging, Just clumped up, hanging out. I am going to resist giving them a different nest for as long as possible. I know changing setups and giving them way too much space is one of my biggest problems.
