[Ants4fun]

I found this colony inside a log a little less than a week ago. I only ended up getting a less that half the workers, the queen and most of the brood, however they have a ton of larvae. Since there is so much Lasius neoniger around I am thinking about brood boosting. They love sugar water and fruit flies!!!

I let this colony go after living in a 'box of dirt'. They grew to be quite large, and are now living in my garden.

Yay. Who knows maybe they'll protect you from Argentine ants one day c;
