The C. pennsylvanicus colony I extracted from a log last June hibernated fine in a GroTube and laid 30-40 eggs within 2 weeks of removing them from the mini fridge, all of which eclosed workers after about 6 weeks, with another batch on the way. I'm thinking about possibly starting the ant cam back with them.

I used a warm room, tons of hydration in at least one reservoir, heat cable on half the nest, crickets during the larval stage, and 1 ml Sunburst every 2-3 days. You can flip the 13 mm test tube plug upside down and use it as a nano-sized 1 ml reservoir with any Guzzler liquid feeder.

What was the colony's size when you took them out?

I count 20 in that photo. I'll take another photo and count soon, if you like. I know their GroTube is filling up, but I suspect I can fit a few more generations.
