I got 4 single queens this season. One of them was obtained much later than the rest, and I'm not sure if she's fertile. I took so many pictures, but I tried to get the better ones. Hope you guys enjoy! I only took pictures of the best queen. She has 4 pupae and is physogastric. The other queens I have aren't as fat and have less brood.

Tried image stacking, but the antennae were moving, so it looks like they're duplicating.

That first queen has gotten her first workers today! I may have taken a few too many pictures.

Edit: was testing with a smaller aperture today, but I'm worried about whether there's enough light in them. Let me know which one you guys prefer!

Big update today. Two of the queen I had were actually Camponotus hyatti. The one I've been taking pictures of was hyatti this entire time. I didn't want to create a completely separate journal and change the name as well, so I changed this journal into a myrmentoma journal. I might end up adding whatever other myrmentoma queens I get to this journal.

Since I changed the name of the journal, I also decided to take pictures of two other queens. This is the first colony which got its worker. They got their 4th worker yesterday. I think it's pretty impressive for a Camponotus founding queen to have 4 back to back nanitics right off the bat. Then again, C. hyatti are also known to be fast growers.
