Only trump supporters defend those who insult those who are gay or with special needs. he needs to answer why he hates gays and special needs so much to use such insulting words against them.

 

In, fact, quite the opposite. Very opposed to his policies. If manitoba does indeed have bias against those groups, I'm also against that, but doesnt mean I have to go around attempting to get other people to hate him. Everyone is entitled to basic respect. But, again, I'm not seeing much evidence that he hates these groups. The definition link you posted doesnt seem especially reliable, and misuse of words is common enough these days.

 

He used an extremely offensive word against gays and special needs, while also calling them "rednecks" in a derogatory manner. I'll say it again.

 

Sexism, racism, bigotry, homophobia is a thing that people need to know about so they don't support that person. its 2020 and hate is out.

 

People need to know someone using such hateful words, so they don't support that person unless they agree with it then they'll still support it. But most people these days are extremely against such hatefulness and using such hateful words.

This is an ant forum, please don't start unnecessary drama, can't we just put aside our differences and just talk about ants instead of starting drama? And I do agree with ponerinecat, misuse/misunderstanding of words is very common, and, people do tend to get riled up nowadays since where all stuck in out houses, so (and this goes for everyone) just try not to start unnecessary arguments if you don't want people to get upset and have these kinds of insults directed towards you, debating is fine, as long as your not hijacking a post, but if it gets to the point where people are just trowing insults at each other, it's really not worth it, also real jerk move posting that on their journal, not cool, but there are a lot of places where you can argue about politics and sexism/racism/homophobia etc. besides here, there are tons of subreddits on http://reddit.com for debating (key word: debating) about these kinds of subjects besides doing it on an ant forum and making people upset over nothing

Also, Urban Dictionary is literally just full of people memeing so it's not exactly a reliable source of definitions

I guess I should have just reported him if I was that offended by his post. Maybe he didn't mean ill intentions and it was a coincidence. But when I looked up the word, that was the first thing listed. But not like urban dictionary is the actual dictionary, but at least on reddit see words used it from it a lot. At the time of his post though the thread was pretty heated, so I took it as a huge insult. But again, should just told drew if it bothered me that much. When I saw what the word "may" have meant, I was pretty offended.

Posting about politics on ant threads for no good reason adds little or no value to an ant conversation.

Vendayn took rather drastic actions at first, but it looks like he's calmed down and willing to talk rationally.

I was perfectly willing to live with him, however he has shown that he is not will to live with any of our beliefs. And it's not like it would be removing him for just some one-time reason, which would be totalitarian and tyrannous. However, he has demonstrated that he will continually disturb this forum's peace and harass it's members for their beliefs. He only talks rationally after first attacking someone and then yelling at them in the face for several pages, then he might settle down and talk rationally, for a time, before picking another target and launching another assult.

Regardless of what Manitobants intentions were, him using (and likely misusing) a slang word with no official definition once, doesn't justify going around and harassing him when he is trying to share his ant keeping experiences. Its really unfortunate that a journal about a rarely kept species was ruined because of that.

I would like to state that i had no idea what that word meant and i was using it as a portmanteau of "native" and "retard" to describe someone extremely pro native in tje community. I am not homophobic and was simply making a joke about how people like ven go around harassing everyone who is slightly pro exotic

While he may not have had the intent of what the word meant, its still an insult. And its funny everyone is defending him for using an insult toward me. Imagine if he said the same thing to GCsnelling who is extremely against releasing exotics AND natives (which he has said many times), no one would be defending manito but would be on GCsnelling side instead. But because I say it, its different lol
