First of all, I’m posting this because I only find a few references to Aus Ants, not nearly as much as Tarheel Ants or AntsCanada. Probably because a lot of the members on the forum are here in the United States. So shipping is more costly and its also not known as well compared TarHeel and Air Conditioner *cough* I mean AntsCanada.

Ants Australia, or Aus Ants is another Ant YouTube channel and ant equipment seller. He sells Ytong Nests, Acrylic Nests, Outworlds, and starter kits for both Ytong and Acrylic. A link to his products, which are sold on Ant Keeping Depot: https://www.antkeepi.../nests/aus-ants. All I’m just asking, what is your opinion of AA?

(No spill overs into talk about TarHeel vs AntsCanada, that is for this thread: https://www.formicul...ada#entry138066 )

Edit: I may just make a thread for your personal ant equipment shop ratings like a top 5 list, because people cannot somehow spill over into THA or AC.

I don't have any experience with their nests, but I find the YTONG/Hebel nests visually appealing.  They seem functional.

I agree with this, I’m ordering a Ytong Starter Kit, and I’m going to test it with a Pheidole Queen I will be getting in the mail from Vern530.

I have never used any of his products, but since he keeps really difficult ants like Myrmecia successfully in those nests, I would trust them.

I'd venture to guess that most on this forum would enjoy AntsAus over Air Conditioner/Alternating Current/Area Code/Athletic Club/Apple Computer/Air Compressor/Atomic Clock/Army Corps/Arm Chair.

I've used AusAnts. They've got AMAZING supplies for the price! The only think is shipping costs which kinda suck, but it makes sense since it's from Australia. I rate them a 9/10 and -1 only for the shipping cost!

THA is still better, but judging on what people have been saying, Aus Ants comes in second.

Alright, so it seems it’s goes like this in ant keeping equipment rating overall

1st place: TarHeelAnts
2nd Place: Aus Ants
3+ Place: Every other ant equipment shop
Not worthy to be mentioned place: Air Conditioner

(Even though I said, please don’t talk about anything other then Aus Ants on the thread..)

Well, AC is still better than some of those small time Chinese shops that sell things that'll probably fall apart the moment you put ants in them. I'd say AC is the worst of the best, if you know what I mean.

How is AC so bad?

Personally I've had a worse experience with THA products. (Inception chamber hydration broke and flooded the nest). But I guess that can be contributed to the fact they're handmade and can't be perfect.

I will say I dislike the Hybrid nests, they feel cheaply made, but I love the Omni nests because of the complete transparency which you can't really get with other nests.

I love their nests. They are very affordable and I've had no problems with them. My camponotus ants love their ytong nests. I would definitely recommend.
