Saw it on my porch. Delaware county PA. Half an inch long. Reddish brown with a darker head which was large and almost triangular. The end of the gaster was darker than the rest of the thorax. Looked like there was only one petiole at the waist. Mandibles had little hook at the end. Like the tip of a scimitar. I took a pic but do. It don’t know how to add it to this post.

Probably Camponotus sp., but impossible to tell without clear photos. If you do not know how to post photos, read this.

The best way i find to do it is to click the "more reply options" at the bottom right corner of your "reply to this topic" box.

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8
