1. Found walking down the street at night on the sidewalk.

2. Found on April 25th
3. Found in a pretty standard neighborhood. Underneath a large Cedar tree.
4. 1.5 - 1.5 MM
5. Bands of either orange, or red, or light brown, around her Gaster.  She has a very dark black head. Dark Black Thorax. Do not see any hairs present on her body.
6. No big distinguishing factors present other than the bands on her gaster.
7. Assuming she is Camponotus

Probably Camponotus vicinus, but you can't tell for sure with these pictures.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

I second this.
