Ever since gaining access to an outworld and being fed honey on wax paper, my Crematogaster have done something very strange with the wax paper. They will spend more time chewing on it than drinking honey. It seems like they pull little chunks of wax off to use inside their tube around the entrance. At least that's what I assume they're doing with those chunks, as they have been using as much scrap material as possible to narrow down their tube's entrance. Has anyone seen their colonies use wax paper like that?
