Does anyone know how to keep root aphids?
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

I looked up how to keep them and all I found were ways to kill them. Well, like they say, one man's pest is another man's pet. That kind of seems like a recurring theme in antkeeping, especially with carpenter ants.
I'm curious why you would want to keep them....
My Journals:
I have taken some root aphids and put them in a vivarium which contains Lasius brevicornis and the grass from the very area I found them. I introduced the aphids and the Lasius seemed to take them, but looking at the grass roots on the bottom I have not been able to see them. I spoke to someone familiar with the species (which I cannot recall much details about), and he said these aphids are xerophilous. So I soak the tank every few days, and let it get moderately dry for a while.
