Hello,
Found a colony of these in So Las Vegas. Scampering around after a 30 minute shower of rain moving eggs. Captured one ant to take photos.
They were located in an empty field of typical desert scrub. Colony entrance was covered by two small quarter sized rocks with entrances on both sides. Very good camo! Went back to observe this am and they were scampering about searching for food.
I believe these are Pogonomymex rugosus per a friend of mine.
Any help finding out what they are exactly and when they fly would be awesome.
Having a problem posting pictures so maybe a little guidance would be nice on that topic too so you can see my ant.
Thank you friends.
