Tapinoma queen not laying eggs...

I know for a fact a few things...

1) It's a queen

2) It's a Tapinoma genus and the species is most likely sessile

3) It's in a perfect test-tube set up

4) I left it alone for a few weeks

 

What I don't know is why she isn't laying eggs.

Does anyone have a pointer or something?

I know for a fact a few things...

2) It's a Tapinoma genus and the species is most likely sessile
3) It's in a perfect test-tube set up
4) I left it alone for a few weeks

What I don't know is why she isn't laying eggs.
Does anyone have a pointer or something?

It could be infertile.

Keeping:

Tetramorium immigrans

Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea

Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis

Pheidole bicarinata

Myrmica sp.

Lasius neoniger, brevicornis

Many tapinoma queens rejoin the colony after they mated or that's what I've heard. This queen could be infertile.

Although they can form colonies they aren't as successful.
