A while ago I got a camponotus US CA-02 with 7 workers, a small major, 5 larva, and some eggs.

Keep us posted! One of my favorite Camponotus for sure. Although, are desert/mountain Camponotus like these really called carpenter ants?

Yeah, I don’t even know if they nest in wood like eastern Camponotus.

These guys are in a mini hearth and doing great! they have 1 large larva 3 medium and I can't really see how many small. But the queen has a gaster with white stripes meaning she is ready for this summer when egg production is at its max!

Alright! These guys are doing great! They have had no deaths. At least 10 larva, a huge batch of eggs but no pupae. Normally when I give them a cricket, they just trow it in the garbage pile. But yesterday they went crazy about it. So in my opinion this is a good sign.

This colony has 3 cocoons and 2 very large larva!
But everything has stayed the same other than that.

This colony has 10 cocoons! They had 11 before one eclosed. So now they are at 7 workers ~5 eggs, 10 larva, and 10 cocoons. 5 will eclose in the next week or so.

12 workers now because 2 died but there is still an enormous brood pile for this size of a colony.

This colony has 17 or 18 workers. All of the cocoons have "hatched/eclosed?" Now they are left with a small batch of larva and eggs. I assume this has something to do with fall and winter coming up.

My ca02 still have all stages of larvae and pupae.

20 workers now. With a media in a cucoon. There is a small brood pile with eggs and larva.

There are 2 medias in this colony now. But they are down to 15 workers because of the winter. They have 2 large larva and a cocoon currently

This colony is doing very well. They had about 10 cocoons and now those are all workers. No majors yet sadly but I hope they come soon. There are about 5 workers foraging at a time. There are now about 10 larva, 5 cocoons and a large batch of eggs. The colony has 30 workers.
