Each and everyone of you arguing about everything is right to a degree. For example, it is a tough predicament when non medical personnels buy masks that nurses and surgeons need to use. Stockpile is low, but if you see Japan, a country that literally uses masks excessively had only 9 new cases vs USA that had 1500+ cases. You do the math. New England Journal of Medicine also stated if someone infected sneezed or coughed, Covid19 can stay airborne for up to 30 min under the right temp and humidity. Masks aren't a complete deterrent, but at least it will cover the front side to an extent if you use the right mask. The sides of your face will be difficult.

Interesting. I can't remember what my Dad said, but he said something like that masks don't really help that much.

Like i mentioned before, masks don't block out most viruses, which are only a few nanometers across.

well this is a novel virus, went from animal to human, and then mutated again within a 2 week span to go to human to human, meaning this virus is INCREADIBLY unstable and highly likely to mutate, there is already 2 strains and a possible third and fourth, i am not worried myself but Ohio is suffering, all schools closed for 3 weeks( this week is the first) and they might close school for the rest of the year IN THE ENTIRE STATE, (governors orders) and every resteraunt in the state is closed(except for carry out and drive through) (governors orders) and the governor just ordered that all barbor shops and tatoo parlors close. the only thing still open is retail but we have to get temperature checked every time we enter the building... I work at target... we are out of toilet paper. my grandpa ran into one of his buddies at a bar who was usually working at that time and his work sent everyone home BECAUSE THEY RAN OUT OF THINGS TO SELL like the entire store sold out. Ohio is a mess it is a **** storm

N95 and surgical masks have been statistically shown to reduce the rate of infection.

Masks aren't fullproof, but it is a lot better than not having one if you use it in a specific way like washing your hand when you take it off, and washing your hand when you put it on.

You're supposed to use 4-8 masks a day and people are using the same on for a week. On a different note when you go out to get all the masks, remember you're [probably] not a doctor, and medical professionals need these so just stay inside and don't be a greedy stuck up [a slew of censored's] and leave the masks for a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL WHO NEEDS THEM MUCH MORE THAN YOU

As far as I know, the viruses themselves aren't floating around in the air. I think they are in tiny aerosol droplets that are probably much larger in size.

my parents are running up to Michigan to visit my grandma cuz she's on dialysis so she is at a higher risk  from infection and my siblings and I arent going... 3 teachers at our school have shown flu like symptoms and one was tested, and I had possible exposure last night, some lady said she had it but didn't care about quarantine cuz she wanted candy... she was checked out by one of my friends(through the line to let her purchase her candy) and I was talking to the person yesterday so I'm on edge

Just think- those medical professionals whom you stole from might become ill because of your selfishness........ and if you got sick, there would be no one to treat YOU, and it would be YOUR FAULT!

Well here’s a big change: state testing has been waived state wide.

5861 new case in one day in the U.S. Only shows how many people had it without showing any symptom. New study says if you got diarrhea, it's a good indication you may test positive for covid19, and this symptom occurs before any respiratory problems occur. Keep checking your feces guys.
