I know this is a very random question but for some reason none of my ants ever liked chocolate..

They smell the sugar run up to it taste it and they look like they are very disappointed. They'll check it out and come back to it to give it a taste but they never call reinforcements as if there was something in the chocolate that they can't stand.

I tried chocolate pudding too no success.
It's not that I absolutely need them to eat it but I wonder why they don't

Hmmmmm, I have never tried that before :unknown: Good question, I would have to do some research...

Maybe they like the sweet, but don't like the cacao in the chocolate...

I haven’t tried feeding my ants chocolate, but I have seen ants in my pantry on the cap of the fake chocolate you put on ice cream. Not sure what it’s called but it hardens when you pour it and tastes super fake. Now that you reminded me of it, I’m going to keep a close watch on the bottle this summer. If I remember correctly it was a species of Crematogaster that was snacking on it.

Another thing ants don't really want is protein shake I thought they'd be all over it but not at all. lol

Cheesecake is a all time favorite and if you haven't seen your ants go at tuna or raw egg is suggest treating them with some.

Every time I eat something my ants could like I'm giving them a taste

Nice dude! (y) I have never really fed my ants anything other than crickets, waxworms, flies, and honey... I will have to try that sometime.

Some ants like variety, so they might like it, however, you colony is really small. I also feel like chocolate is hard for ants. Do they dissolve it?

Chocolate contains a lot of sugar, so yes, as long as it has some moisture they can lap up.

I tried multiple forms, even chocolate pudding cause I thought the same but I think it's the cacao in the chocolate that they don't like

I put a kit kat in the outworld and my tetramoriums would dig tunnels into the chocolate bar. I'm not sure if they're eating it though

I personally like bitter chocolate not hella bitter just a hint of bitterness and if it has a fruity gel inside I'm sold.
I bet the ants would eat the filling too just to not get completely off topic. ^^
