We did lose a worker, sadly. However there is a good pile of eggs and I have no reason to think they are not solidly progressing.

Camponotus Lateralis - Bit of a time jump 03/05/20
These did very well in their test tube, but being such active ants it was surprising how hard to contain they are. I decided to move them into one of my DIY nests earlier then planned. No pictures of the queen here, she moved without me seeing and hid out of camera sight.

We may in fact have a third worker soon. Ha, I'm not sure how to feel. I hope that this is the start of their growth - they have lots of eggs so perhaps.
