One of my ant colonies is in desperate need of move and the next size up is a 5 gallon tank. I will be placing something in the middle to encourage digging on the outside. But where can I find this much sand/clay?

If you're wanting something white maybe you can try buying some light colored sand(wich is avaiable anywhere) and mixing it with pulverized perlite and some powdered white clay. I've been meaning to try this combo but have yet to do it. I was thinking for the clay buying some white Kaolin clay powder. Its an edible food grade clay used in some cosmetics that you can buy on amazon. I havn't tested if it is ant safe. However it is sold as edible clay so I was thinking it might be safe to at least test with just some worker ants to see if it has any negative side effects when mixed with sand and perlite. Or perhaps someone here has already tried it?

If I were you, I would head to https://google.com(not sure if you've heard of it) and type in "Where can I purchase sand?"
