Hello,

I bought me a very beautiful Camponotus thoracicus queen. There is no brood yet. I was planning on keeping her warm in a test tube and disturb her as less a possible.

On the internet there is not much info about this species. Does anyone has any tips for a successful start?

Thanks

Shouldn't be any different from most other Camponotus. It seems like you've got it all down.  ;)

"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version

Keeping:

Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis

Pheidole bicarinata

Myrmica sp.

Lasius neoniger, brevicornis

Thanks. Don’t know how to erase this post, since I already placed it in the Camponotus topic

I don't believe posts and topics can be erased.
