Same here. I will let all south Dakota ant keepers know if i find any queen(even though i have my doubts about prenolepis...)

Me neither. So, what color are they? And, are they the size of lasius?

This whole week as well as next week is supposed to be of a low temp :((as in 40's or too low for prenolepis)

Still better than 10 or 20, though.

So much better. At least i can get out of the house with out literally a bullet proof suit of coats, boots, ect. weighing me down :D!

Her colony lives really close to the foundation of my house, so it’s probably warmer for them, and they probably woke up earlier.

I'm not completely sure on this, but I think (emphasize think) I saw a Prenolepis queen on my window today! I looked around outside, but didn't see anymore. Probably still too cold.
