Camponotus modoc flights near Bishop CA

So, because we go camping within 30 miles of there, I am wondering when the flight might be. I assume it is rather late, as I found a lone Camponotus vicinus queen in mid August. All answers will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies. 

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

First warm day of Spring in the region, which for Bishop will depend on the altitude. This would be in the March-May timeframe.

Okay, a quick revival of this thread, would warm be about 80 degrees, or 75? And I assume it can't be in the 30s at night either?

Sunset temp? Has it been this warm previously this year?

Here is the record of the weather for the place last year in June. I was thinking that it would have been on the 4th or 5th that they flew.

 

 

 

And that was the first time of the year it got to 75 without it getting into the low 30s at night.

Just did a weather check on Bishop. It's way too cold right now.

Usually they fly in late April/early May.

Certainly not last year, it was in the 50s then, getting into the 30s at night. The weather there is really weird.
