Seems a lot like stupidity to me. I know I am wrong, but it does seem to fit.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
Children.

All pretty good guesses, but the answer I had in mind was...
Entropy!
Nullifies advancement: What good is human progress if entropy eventually catches up to us?
Erases worth: Value becomes irrelevant.
Craves disorder: Entropy (the 2nd law of thermodynamics, I believe) is the progression of an ordered state to a disordered state.
An Inevetable fate: Space will keep expanding, the universe's energy will be used up, and matter will be spread so far apart and evenly from eachother that no more stars or planets or anything will form (of course, this is gajillions of years away, so we have a while to wait)
Time?
And on mine, no, that is not the answer. It is not related to ants.
Correct.
You turn right, and are facing left. How can this be?
"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version
Keeping:
Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea
Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra
Myrmica sp.
Lasius neoniger, brevicornis
Time?

Correct.
You turn right, and are facing left. How can this be?
Left was the correct (right) direction in which to turn.
OR...
Your head was facing left while your body turned to the right.
You turn right, and are facing left. How can this be?
Left was the correct (right) direction in which to turn.
Right.
"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version
Keeping:
Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea
Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra
Myrmica sp.
Lasius neoniger, brevicornis
That would be the left (wrong) direction.

Does anyone have a guess at my first riddle yet?
Here is another one, an easy one. I never sleep, yet I am never tired, I always fall, never rise, never speaking always roaring, never ridden, yet power I may make. What am I?
