I'm thinking of bringing my Solenopsis molesta colony out of hibernation. As seeing they are partially granivorous, I figured it would be easier to feed them seeds as a protein source as opposed to keeping live insects indoors. (Not that I mind insects in the house, it would simply be easier) I was wondering if they would perhaps eat walnuts and perhaps raw beans? Sunflower seeds? I also plan to experiment on feeding them table scraps.
