Pupa changing colour

Is it normal for brood (particularly pupae) to change colour to a yellowy brown colour? If so, could someone please explain why. Thanks.

Yes. This is normal. It is the workers inside of the cocoon darkening as they develope. It means they should be hatching in the near future.
