Welcome to Team CrematoMaster! This year I got two THA mini hearths, a small crematogaster colony and some money (to buy ants and supplies of course)
Nothing
As a gift anyways. Still finding tons of new inverts though.
Actually no, I did receive some dwarf whites from a friend. But that was last Friday.
An absolutely BOSS dissection microscope, red cellophane, some containers, tons of test tubes, and lots of stuff for me to build formicariums with, including a dremel tool!
Currently Keeping:
Camponotus chromaiodes, Camponotus nearcticus, Stigmatomma pallipes, Strumigenys brevisetosa, Strumigenys clypeata, Strumigenys louisianae, Strumigenys membranifera, Strumigenys reflexa, Strumigenys rostrata
Some hydrostone plaster, two of the refillable test tubes from Ant Keeping Depot (large and small), and a mini-fridge to safely hibernate my ants.
Currently keeping:
Tetramorium immigrans, Pogonomyrmex occidentalis
Myrmica punctiventris, Formica subsericea
Formica pallidefulva, Aphaeogaster cf. rudis
Camponotus pennsylvanicus
Camponotus nearcticus
Crematogaster cerasi
Temnothorax ambiguus
Prenolepis imparis
A huge bag of snapcap viles, some transparent red film, a book on antkeeping, a book on ant ID (for NA spp.), and an AntsCanada Ant Tower Small (coming soon; it got delayed because of all the holiday shipping craziness)
EDIT: And a dremel. I forgot about the dremel

I got a 3d printer(
), two more BoxBox containers, more test tubes, and of course, candy!
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
I got myself a bunch of THA formicaria that were on sale.... And I decided that wasn't enough so I just ordered some more THA mini-hearths.
A big fat magnifying glass so I can actually see my ants.
And I ordered myself some more isopods. Isopods are like potato chips....
