Moved 2 of the Camponotus to new nests.
The Lepidocyrtus are growing quite quickly, and they're popped up in a lot of my other bins as well. I'm guessing that keeping isopods together with springtails actually greatly boosts the growth of the springtails.
Got some decent photos of the Brackenridgia heroldi.
And the ironclad beetle from a while back is still alive, looks like its been eating the fungus I gave it.
Cool!
Ants I have: Tapinoma sessile(2 queen colony). RED MORPH Camponotus neacticus(now has pupae!), Tetramorium immigrans (x3), Aphaenogaster sp, Temnothorax sp, Brachymyrmex sp. possibly infertile , Ponera pennsylvanica, and Pheidole morrisi!
Other insects: Polistes sp. Queen
Ants I need: Pheidole sp., Trachymyrmex sp., Crematogaster cerasi , Dorymyrmex sp. Most wanted: Pheidole morrisii
Update on the Orbuthids?
He he, I messed up there. They're actually globulars, and they're all dead. Need to figure out how to raise em before I try again.
Camponotus quericola moved into a new nest.
Termite nymphs are getting big! Also see some dark coloring in their digestive tracts.
Also checked up on the remaining millipedes.
After the unexpected success of the bristle millipedes, they have all disappeared. Likely won't try again until I can get some more info on their lifestyle
Finally got the paludarium running. Ignore the reflection.
Wow, looks amazing!

Do you think they died or escaped?
"God made..... all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds (including ants). And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25 NIV version
Keeping:
Formica cf. pallidefulva, cf. incerta, cf. argentea
Formica cf. aserva, cf. subintegra
Myrmica sp.
Lasius neoniger, brevicornis

Died, most likely.
The termites you have look way cooler than the ones I have in my backyard!

Makes me sad that my termites kicked the bucket.
The ones that got baked on your car? Also RIP

No these two were my successful pair that even got a nymph. I don’t what happened, but termite keeping isn’t as easy as I thought. The ones that got baked on your car? Also RIP
