One of my suppliers has caught what he believes to be trichomyrmex destructor, which happens to be the most destructive ant species in the hobby, and I was wondering what formicariums would work for this and other destructive species, such as tapinoma melanocephalum (my colony is quite destructive), solenopsis invicta, camponotus chromaiodes etc.

How did he find them in Canada? Greenhouses? That's what seems likely for your Tapinoma.

For Trichomyrmex destructor I can't see anything working bit a tubs and tubes setup, preferably one where the tub is some sort of acrylic box instead of a tupperware.

Currently keeping:

Tetramorium immigrans, Pogonomyrmex occidentalis

Myrmica punctiventris, Formica subsericea

Formica pallidefulva, Aphaeogaster cf. rudis

Camponotus pennsylvanicus

Camponotus nearcticus

Crematogaster cerasi

Temnothorax ambiguus

Prenolepis imparis
