So, hi all, I’m pretty new to formiculture (I used to be a no account viewer) and am now starting a journal on all my ants colonies. Any advice would be helpful (I’m located in SoCal). Thanks

Ok. Thanks.
By the way, by the time I found out that my pheidole queens were either p. Navigate or p. Morens, the workers began attacking queens. Any help on what to do?

If you can, you can separate them, as long as the queen(s) separated are given some workers. However, Pheidole navigans and Pheidole moerens are very common, so I wouldn't sweat it, you'll likely be able to find many more next year. I'd just let them fight it out.

Currently Keeping:
Trachymyrmex septentrionalis

Pheidole pilifera

Forelius sp. (Monogynous, bicolored) "Midwestern Forelius"
Crematogaster cerasi

Pheidole bicarinata

Aphaenogaster rudis

Camponotus chromaiodes

Formica sp. (microgena species)

Nylanderia cf. arenivega

Yeah, they are pretty common. At my school, if I caught every queen that flew, I would have come home with 300 or more queens.
I mean, Mdrogun. Sorry.

So, after a long period of ant keeping burn out. I have finally returned. I caught a Pogonomermex queen that appears to be a semi claustral species of pogonomermex. I also caught another Pogonomermex queen that appears to be fully claustral.
