Messor structor are not native or introduced in my area. I’ll just make do with your videos unless I’m lucky to move back to the motherland someday.

Apparently small translation difficulties :(

I could understand that where you live Messor structor does not live.
As for the video, I could not quite understand :(

In America, it is illegal to bring ants across state borders. Since Messor doesn't live anywhere in the continental United States, they would have to be imported from Europe, which would be illegal.

This is very strict! Already without humor! I do not presume to argue correctly or not, but it is very strict!

It so happened that in our country you can buy absolutely any ant (at least for today), the only question is money, it is not easy, but it is possible.
You can buy ants from America, as well as from Australia and Indonesia. Yes, even from the moon, if you have money for it and if the ants lived there (although, perhaps, they are there :))

Yeah, my point was that I will just watch your videos of them because I don’t want to break federal law. Lol

I am ready to help you continue to be on the side of the law  B)

I really did not know that you cannot get such ants as easily as ours.

Tell me what kind of video (what are the life processes of these ants: feeding, looking after larvae, just monotonous walking around the arena, etc.), you would be interested to watch, and I will make such a video with great pleasure. I’ll even try to do this with sound in English, so that it’s more convenient for you to watch without being distracted by subtitles, especially since now there are many programs that can pronounce printed text out loud.
Well, at the same time it will be possible to laugh at my knowledge of English  :D  :D  :D

America (especially in warmer climates) has been ravaged by invasive species such as Solenopsis invicta, Linepithima humile, Brachyponera chinensis, Pheidole megacephalum, Patatrechina longicornis, Tetramorium immigrans, and Myrmica rubra. Combined, they have severely cut down on native diversity, sometimes almost completely wiping out native ant (and other wildlife) populations in the case of Solenopsis invicta and Linepithima humile. This, along with some species' destructiveness to plants, is why the Department of Agriculture has banned the transport of family Formicidae.

This is a very serious reason.

Well, since you cannot keep these ants at home, you can always see them with my help :)
By the way, from yesterday our authorities completely banned the import of any exotic animals from China, including ants. The main supply channels of any exotic were from there. They are trying to limit the possibility of a new virus entering the country.

Totally agree with you!

No matter how much we love ants, I’m sure that public safety is much more important  B)

Dear friends!

With all my heart I wish you good health! In this difficult time, you need to try to maintain a positive attitude, because this is what gives more strength :)
I am sure that our house ants will not let us get bored during quarantine (in our country, it also exists). I am sure that in any situation you should always look for positive points. For example, the need to be in home isolation is seen as a great opportunity to be with family and friends, including with your favorite house ants, which now have time to write in detail and even make a movie :)
Together we will definitely defeat this disease and then, much later, we will recall with admiration the difficulties that we could overcome :)
I wish you all good luck and good health from Russia :)

Thank you very much :)

To make it more fun to spend time at home, I will definitely post a new video about them in the coming days :) There is already material, it remains only to do the editing and translation :)

he is correct about maintaining a positive attitude giving you strength. We are the placebo in the placebo effect so let's stay positive and statistically we'll do better

Just like the body’s immune response is much more miserable than the pathogen itself, the panic we generate is much worse than COVID itself.

Navy men have this rule: in a submarine, the worst thing is panic. Our calm will help to avoid big mistakes.
