I MESSED UP!!! I didn't FEED IT

I don't want to be too hard on you, but hasn't this happened before?
Yes but it almost happened again

Please remember to feed your ants, don't be concerned of they don't eat right away, just leave the food there until it molds, rots, or is consumed.

An easy fix to this problem is buying an ant feeder. All you have to do is put honey or sugar water in and they'll have a constant food source: https://www.amazon.c...c/dp/B01H06M49G

The only possible problem I can see with this is protein, he won't know if the queen lays eggs or not and when to supply protein because she nested in the dirt.

That is an Odontomachus queen! Great catch! They seem to enjoy crickets and honey.

They stayed there until they died.

this time keep them in a test tube. They will die without humidity.

They died because they need water. You dehydrated them. Next time put a piece of cotton in there, and wet it with some water.

They were 2 severely injured ones and I had no test tubes available and I think I had 1 (the one that shattered later on) but it wasn't worth keeping it since it might die anyway
They were injured when I found them. Literally an injured worker near it I think they had a fight
