I haven't really been doing id's on ants lately so if anyone can help please
Found on brick patio near my front garden just moments ago 6pm. About .7-.8cm with wings that have some black in them. Not 100% sure if it's even a queen.

I'm thinking parasitic lasius. Be sure to read the guide here: http://www.formicult...cial-parasites/

Yup, definetly parasitic Lasius.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

I'm definitely letting it go then.

you could sell it. Remember that there is many other methods besides the callow method.I'm definitely letting it go then.
