1. Location of collection: Trabuco Canyon, California.
2. Date of collection:  3-4-2015.
3. Habitat of collection:  Chaparral, dry river bed.
4. Length (from head to gaster):  6 mm.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture:  All yellow.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Very bald.
7. Anything else distinctive:

This was the only one I found, so no majors unfortunately. I also waited too long to take photos of it, so it's a bit collapsed.
 
This is clearly of the Festinatus complex. I'm pretty sure this is C. absquatulator, because of it's hair pattern. I have found C. fragilis out there before, but this one lacks the short hairs on its face, particularly those that stick out all around the sides when looking directly at the face. Can anyone confirm this?

BTW, lazarusadam, who spent some time studying and working with the Camponotus festinatus complex agrees with me on this, so I will go with C. absquatulator.
