Hey everyone, my Formica queen has been in her TT foraging container setup for about a week now (and she's now heated), so when should I check on her next?

It's just the queen in there right? Because if it is, and you said she hasn't been laying eggs, you might want to wait for maybe 3 weeks to a month to check on her.

She really needs some peace and quiet. She’s gone from a test tube, to a mini-hearth, to back to a tube. Leave her totally alone for three weeks minimum. If after that she has no brood, release or euthanize her.

Ok, I'll check on her in 4-5 weeks because she may very well have brood as I believe she was in too large of a setup being the mini-hearth and last time she laid within a week in a TT without heat so I'll have to see in 4 weeks what's up. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, I’d say four weeks. It takes that or less to get workers, especially if they are heated, and you don’t want to starve them too long.
