We do! We have the rare Carebara longii in Texas.Nice catch! If only we had Carebara in the US.
Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.
However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:
Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
be sure to use a small container so you can check in on your queen every once in a while and make sure she's not dead. Also be sure to not dig her up and check through the clear plastic of the container.I'M A MASTER OF SOIL (or dirt idk the difference) FARMS. I STARTED USING THOSE LIKE 20 YEARS AGO

like a small one with clear sides so you can check in on her without stressing her. Founding queens don't need much space. What do you mean small container?be sure to use a small container so you can check in on your queen every once in a while and make sure she's not dead.I'M A MASTER OF SOIL (or dirt idk the difference) FARMS. We do. We have the extremely rare Carebara longii in south Texas. Only foraging minors, queens, and males have ever been found out that species though, no majors yet.
Currently Keeping:
Camponotus chromaiodes, Camponotus nearcticus, Stigmatomma pallipes, Strumigenys brevisetosa, Strumigenys clypeata, Strumigenys louisianae, Strumigenys membranifera, Strumigenys reflexa, Strumigenys rostrata
like a small one with clear sides so you can check in on her without stressing her. Founding queens don't need much space.

Carebara is super sensitive in terms of nest conditions. They usually only do well in dirt setups.
thanks for the info, tried 2 times with test tube set up both failed without egg.
Colony:
2 Odontomachus aciculatus
2 Polyrachis Dives
3 Camponotus sp
carebara affinis, not diversa

carebara affinis, not diversa
Can't be Carebara affinis, they only get to 16mm for queens. C. diversa gets up to 25mm, as he said the size of his is.

Fair, but diversa's head-body ratio is not like that. Cos I had both species before
