I apologize I could not figure out how to attach a picture directly to the forum :cry: however she is my first and we all know how much that mean and excites us. She is slightly redder than she appears in the pictures and is in the standard AC test tube as a size comparison. If you need more information please ask here on the forum not the Imgur site as I will be looking for responses and answers here.

Looks like a species of Manica to me.

Manica invidia, as this queen lacks a protuberance under the post petiole; a distinctive trait M. hunteri possesses'. The only other Manica species present in Nevada, Manica bradleyi, has a completely different colour pattern than this queen has.

 

FYI, this species is semi claustral, which means the queen will need to be fed throughout the founding stages.
