Habitat - Under a flat rock in moderately dry soil/mossy area.
Colouration- Mostly black, leg tips lighter. Shiny.
Size - Approximately 9.5mm
Behaviour - Quite flighty, and can run quite fast.

The shape and mandibles of the queen remind me much more of Formica pallidefulva-group.

Looks like a neogagates-group Formica sp.
The shape and mandibles of the queen remind me much more of Formica pallidefulva-group.
