My Camponoutus queen just got her first worker, however it is not moving and seems to stay still. Is this normal?

How long has it been since the nanitic eclosed? If it was recently, this is normal. Give her time to warm up and juice up.

Nanitics are generally very cautious and jittery. They don't really move around and do much. When your colony gets to a bigger size where they have more confidence, you'll see A LOT more activity.

Yes, they'll probably take a week before they become active.

Small colonies of Camponotus in general are very inactive and usually only come out at night.

Mine don't move that much. They chill in the formicarium until they harden. My nanitics were pretty chill too.

The first 4 nanitics from one of my Camponotus toke almost a whole week to get active, I was even worried at some point because they were not moving at all, just sitting between the brood!

After 3 days with the test tube connected to the small nest chamber that I prepared finally they decided to move in, I can't remember exactly the day but maybe 10 or 12 days after they hatched of doing nothing interesting...
