How Do I Use An "Under Tank Heater"?

How would I use a Repti Therm Under Tank Heater to heat a Mini-Hearth? It has one sticky side and one rubber side, and comes with rubber "feet" to elevate a terrarium.

Myrmica punctiventris, Formica subsericea

Formica pallidefulva, Aphaeogaster cf. rudis

Not sure I even need this, since I just managed to mostly close the vent in my room. Can't wait for the 80+ degree nights.

Heating mats are too large for founding or smaller colonies, they're for larger enclosure to heat one side by adhering to the bottom/side of the set up. I bought a mat too, realized it was too large then got a heating cable, which is still long but easier to manipulate around a formicarium. I left the adhesive side still with the paper on the mat and use a corner when needed though, for my other queens in tubes I caught.

Ok. I will take that into consideration and get a heat cable if possible. For now, I think closing the air conditioning vent has worked. It's quite hot in here right now.
