That's the only species SO FAR. They add species that won't harm the environment, and/or are already established in every state. I can imagine them adding Tapinoma sessile and Prenolepis imparis.

This species of ant is only native to the western united states. It's good to know that they can add more species to the list though.

I wouldn't be so sure on Tapinoma sessile. Those things grow like crazy and are basically a US-native version of the Argentine ant. However, I do see a chance for other harvester ants such as Novomessor, certain Pheidole sp, and other Pogonomyrmex, along with maybe, just maybe, some species of myrmecocystus, odontomachus, and more cryptic species to MAYBE become deregulated. Keep in mind that this is JUST MY PERSONAL SPECULATION. Also, agree with gcsnelling, just because the USDA did it with these ants doesn't mean that they'll do it again. The USDA in my opinion has already been pretty lenient ever since the 3 goliathus sp, various tropical roach species, and the harvester ants were deregulated. Just because the did it doesn"t mean that they'll do it again. And keep in mind that what I said before about the ant species IS MERELY JUST A SPECULATION AT MOST AND IS NOT IN ANY WAY GOING TO HAPPEN, PERIOD.
Proverbs 6:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
