Looking to buy a queen from the species I listed, willing to drive anywhere in or near LA county and willing to pay for shipping.
I'd hate to break it to you but you're not going to be able to find anyone selling either of those genera near you. Cephalotes and Odontomachus are not native and there are only two species of Strumigenys in your area, and very few ant keepers are going to be selling those small, rare species.
Currently Keeping:
Camponotus chromaiodes, Camponotus nearcticus, Stigmatomma pallipes, Strumigenys brevisetosa, Strumigenys clypeata, Strumigenys louisianae, Strumigenys membranifera, Strumigenys reflexa, Strumigenys rostrata
You could try to apply for a liscence? Sorry, but california does not have mush to offer in terms of ants like these. Some more common species I would reccomend are acromyrmex and cyphomyrmex, look like cephalotes (kinda?) and grow fungus.
