ID Request for two different queens
QUEEN #1
- Location - Top of Crown Mountain, North Vancouver, BC, Canada
- Collection Date - August 5, 2019
- Habitat - was crawling around on the rock face
- Length - 5-6mm
- Coloration - hairy from back of thorax to end of gaster, dark head, mostly brown in color, yellow legs and antennae
- Dist Char - 2 petiole, 12 antennal segments, 2 spines out the top thorax
- crawls steadily, not slow nor fast
- probably foraging along the rock face

QUEEN #2
- Location - Top of Crown Mountain, North Vancouver, BC, Canada
- Collection Date - August 5, 2019
- Habitat - mountainous, dry dirt area, some shrubs
- Length - 10mm
- Coloration - black gaster, red mid section with V or H section on top, head is red with 3 dots forming triangle
- Dist Char - 1 petiole, 12 antennal segments
- fast moving, aggressive workers (bite)
- was hanging around the shaded side of the mountain rock faces waiting for flight time
- nuptial flight was occurring that day
