I recently caught around 5 tetramorium immigrans queens. I decided to put one in a test tube and one in a natural setup, I am wondering what to do with the others, a natural setup or test tube. The problem is, I am out of test tubes. Will be posting pictures soon.

I don’t really recommend keeping more than one colony of this species. They can get easily overwhelming.

thanks for the advice! I was just kinda nervous I would make a mistake and a queen would die so a "backup"

Ok so the natural setup queen was transfered into a test tube setup, is it normal that none of my queens have had workers yet?? They have decently some  decently developed brood piles but not too close to workers.

Ok, you should get workers any day now.

Update: You were right! Today I saw three tiny workers. They are way smaller than I thought, I know the next couple of generations they will be bigger, but still, the 3 are insanely small. I believe they just eclosed as they are still quite light in coloration. The reason I thought that the eggs were not close to worker stage was that the Pupa/Larva were super small and I was expecting the workers to be a bit bigger (so the eggs would be bigger).
