I'm Mad, and I've been keeping ants (or trying to) for about a year and a half now. I got into it a little last year, but this year I really dove into it. So far the journals I've tried here haven't really worked out, but I'm gonna try again shortly, maybe with all my stuff this time. Here's most, if not all of the colonies / queens that I have. Let me know if there's a specific one I should journal about.

Established colonies:

Tetramorium immigrans (100+ workers)
Aphaenogaster rudis (50-70 workers)
Camponotus herculeanus (20-30 workers)

Founding colonies:

Camponotus nearcticus (5 workers)
Camponotus novaeborascensis (6 workers)
Camponotus chromaiodes (5 workers)
Camponotus herculeanus (6 workers)
Formica pallidefulva (15+ workers)
Formica subanescens (boosted to 10 workers)
Lasius americanus (4 workers)

Founding queens:

Solenopsis molesta (2 queen tube)
3x Camponotus chromaiodes
Camponotus pennsylvanicus
3x Crematogaster
3x Aphaenogaster
(Possibly something else too, lost track)

Wow! You really dove in the? Good luck! Would love to have some C. Herculeanus and C. novaeborascensis myself. I have C. chromaiodes x2, C. pennsylvanicus founding, and C. castaneus colony and founding.

Oh I had more Camponotus, I just don't want too too much so I sold them or traded them to other keepers. As for diving into it, turns out the firewood we abandoned is great for nesting queens.
