Hi guys, looking like I may lose a founding C. Herculeanus queen to some kind of nervous system issue.
If she doesnt recover how long do you think before I should merge her workers and brood to new test tube

I wouldn’t hazard the workers but the brood is fine pretty much any time.

Young colonies of Camponotus sp. may occasionally accept young workers. Usually a worker will submit to the hostile workers of the colony, and eventually it will smell like the colony and merge. However, a whole colony is very tricky.

I originally had a Queenless Colony of C. casataneus and a small Queened colony. I took all the brood from the Queenless colony and theymerged it with the Queened one. They took it all!! within 15 minutes all the brood and eggs were moved into the new colony!
I tried doing the workers one by one but they just killed each one I introduced.

In my experience, Camponotus pennsylvanicus queens are extremely aggressive. If a new worker is introduced, I wouldn't be surprised if the queen rips it apart.
