1. Location (on a map) of collection: SE Michigan, USA (a few mile west of Ann Arbor).
2. Date of collection: July 31, 2019
3. Habitat of collection: my kitchen sink!
4. Length (from head to gaster): 15mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Mostly black. Legs are tan with some brown areas. Two lighter-colored thin horizontal stripes on the thorax, one on the gaster.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: end of gaster is pointed.
7. Distinguishing behavior: None
8. Nest description: unknown
9. Nuptial flight time and date: unknown

That is a paper wasp, not a queen ant.  :/
