Dear Pennsylvania Ant Enthusiasts:
Our ant colony prices have been lowered due to many factors. View our colonies at www.Antyslvania.com.
Originally, my philosophy was that if we listed our colonies at relatively higher prices, we would attract ant-keepers and enthusiasts that would purchase them for much more meaningful reasons than "I want an ant farm". I believed (and still do) that, in theory, if a customer is willing to pay a significant amount of money to adopt an ant colony, chances are they've done their research and they truly understand what it is that they are purchasing. Ant-keeping is very different from keeping a pet goldfish, although I see nothing wrong with keeping fish, ants maintain a level of sophistication and elegance that should be appreciated universally. They are bugs, yes, but they are much more. Anyone on this forum knows that.
When you adopt a colony from Antsylvania, you become immersed in a wealth of information and a robust support system fueled by, at the risk of sounding arrogant, some pretty darn experienced ant-lovers. Not only will we dedicate our every waking moment to ensuring our customers' experiences with us are as smooth as possible, we will answer your questions, ID your queens, refer you to associates, connect you with other anters, and help you find cheaper options even if you don't decide to go with us. With the sheer amount of time we spend on corresponding with clients, caring for our colonies, and keeping everything up to date, we do need to finance the operation somehow...
I hope this makes sense. There is much more to my argument than this, but I don't want to derail thread and I feel like I've gotten my point across. Please, please email us at info@antsylvania.com if you'd like me to elaborate or are interested in civilized discussion about the future of ant adoption.
Thank you all kindly.
~Void.
