I am attempting to hibernate my queens in a wine cooler. They don't all look like they are "dead".

How should they look/act??

They shouldn't look like they are dead! I find it depends on the species, my carpenter ant queens kind of look deadish but they still have occasional leg movements, and my other ants are still standing just not hardly moving at all. Hope that helps?
